How much does Reddit promotion cost? What you're actually paying for

Creators set their own rates on BidPanda and we take 0%. Here's what drives the price — karma, community standing, deliverables — and how to brief so you don't overpay.

There is no rate card for Reddit promotion, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. What exists is a market: individual creators with accounts in specific communities, each deciding what their standing is worth. On BidPanda those rates are public on every profile, and the current low / median / high across listed creators is on the homepage, computed live.

This post is about what moves those numbers, so you can read a rate and know whether it's fair.

What you're actually buying

You are not buying words. Words are cheap. You're buying three things that can't be manufactured:

  • Standing in a community. Years of history and karma earned in r/personalfinance mean a post there is read as a member's post. That standing is the product; the creator risks it every time they mention something.
  • Judgement. Knowing that the community bans link posts on weekdays, that the mods dislike a certain phrasing, that a comparison outperforms a review. This is what keeps the post up.
  • Continued presence. Replies in the thread over the following days and weeks. That's where questions get answered and where the conversions actually happen.

Structures that work

  • One-off post + one week of replies. Good for a launch, a new feature, or a specific thread you want to exist. Clear scope, clear price.
  • Monthly presence. A fixed number of comments in relevant threads per month, plus a post when there's something to say. This is the one that compounds — every thread is a permanent, searchable, AI-citable asset.
  • Comparison write-up. “I tried five of these; here's what I found.” Costs more, ranks longest. Only works if the creator is free to be honest about your competitors — and about you.

How BidPanda's own pricing works

Creators pay a flat subscription to be listed and to say “I'm interested” on jobs. Publishers join free and post up to five jobs every 30 days; a small monthly fee unlocks more. See pricing. We take nothing from the deal itself — the number on the creator's profile is the number you pay them, and how you pay is between the two of you.

If you're not sure what to offer, post the job with a range. Eligible creators express interest, you see their full profile and rates, and you pick. Start with the brief; the price follows from it.

Questions people ask

Does BidPanda take a cut of the deal?
No. Creators pay a flat subscription to be listed; publishers post up to five jobs a month free. The deal and payment happen directly between you and the creator, and BidPanda takes 0% of it.
What's a reasonable rate for a Reddit post?
It depends on the account's standing in the specific community, the deliverable, and how much of the creator's credibility they're putting behind it. Rates are listed on each creator's profile and the live price range is shown on our homepage — we don't publish a made-up benchmark.
Should I pay per post or per month?
One-off posts suit a launch or a specific thread. Monthly arrangements suit ongoing presence in a community — answering questions as they come up — which is usually what converts over time.
